I had my first appointment with Dr. Lewis just yesterday. It was a great experience! Dr. Lewis was patient and explained all my options after my initial examination. He was detailed in explaining what I was and was not a good candidate for based on my examination and life style. One surprising new twist was the The Optomap Retinal Exam. I've always had my eyes dilated with traditional drops leaving my eyes "blurred" and uncomfortable for 4-6 hours. This is a non-dilating camera that captures a digital image of the retina. Not only non-invasive, quick and easy it allowed Dr. Lewis to capture images of what's going on behind my eye but also share with me. Excused the pun, but it was "Eye Opening" :) Thank you Dr. Lewis for a great experience!
