Can I use my vision insurance benefits (VSP/EyeMed/Davis/Spectera/Superior) at your office?
Very likely yes! Our practice now works with all types of vision insurance on an open-access basis. As an open-access provider, we are not contracted directly with your vision plan, but we can still perform eye exams and utilize your vision insurance benefits. If you provide a few pieces of information, we can look up your benefits to let you know what your insurance covers and what your out-of-pocket expenses will be.

You don’t bill my insurance plan. Can I still come in for an eye exam?
Yes! Even if we are not a provider for your specific insurance, you can still pay for the exam and we will assist you in submitting paperwork so that you can be reimbursed directly from your insurance company. This service is provided at no charge.

What forms of payment do you take?
We would prefer cash, personal checks, or debit cards. We can also take Visa and Mastercard credit cards if needed.

How long does it take to get an appointment for an eye exam?
We are open 6 days a week. Most of the time we are available for an appointment within a few days. We do accept walk-in appointments whenever possible, but to avoid waiting or the possibility that we might not have an immediate opening it is best to schedule an appointment by calling (360) 258-6234.

How long does an eye exam take?
Most eye exams take between 20-30 minutes. This makes it convenient to fit an eye exam into your busy day.

There have been a lot of exciting developments in the contact lens industry and we have the latest lenses at our disposal. I don’t have a Costco card (I am not a member of Costco). Can I still come in for an eye exam?
Sure – you do not have to have a Costco card in order to have an eye exam with Dr. Lewis. When you get to the entrance of Costco, just let them know you are there to see the Optometrist and they will let you inside. The only thing to keep in mind is that while you will receive your prescription from us, without a Costco card you won’t be able to take advantage of the exceptional prices for eyeglasses or contact lenses at Costco Optical.
